We have a significant collection of old photographs and postcards.
The Weardale Museum has a collection of over 1000 old photographs and postcards donated by many friends. These are assembled in albums covering every village in the Dale. The images are also archived in a digital collection.
This valuable collection illustrates life in and around the Dale at the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century.
We welcome additions to our collection and we can make copies of your old photographs so that you do not have to give them away.
