What do our Researchers need to know?
The more information you can provide for them the better.
However, often a successful search can be carried out with the simplest of information, the surname, forenames and approximate date of birth.
Our database and record files concentrate specifically on Weardale and, with minor exceptions, do not extend beyond the ancient parishes of Stanhope and Wolsingham.
Note. Eric is also willing to conduct many family history enquiries for people who have no connection with Weardale.
You will appreciate that our volunteers have spent hundreds of hours, collecting and collating this information and building a system for you to use and enjoy.
There is no formal charge but we appreciate donations which recognise the value of their contribution to your work.
